Description
Sterilization is very important in mycology. This alcohol lamp burns hotter than butane and is much cleaner and safer for the environment. Most commonly used for preparing spore syringes or sterilizing inoculation loops and/or scalpals before use.
 
Tips and information about using your alcohol lamp
  • Never over fill  your lamp with alcohol. Keep it filled to just over half to avoid sloshing and to much alcohol on the wick.
  • Don't let the wick become to large, keep it trimmed to have a safe working lab.
This alcohal burning lamp comes complete with a 4oz. glass base with a safety cap and one cotton wick. A very simple and extremely useful device for conducting repetitive but important mycology tasks.  if you want to succeed in this hobby of mycology It is recommended to become good at using this tool as it can save you much wasted time with contamination problems when it is used correctly.

Keep your working tools sterilized with the power of fire
Never rely on anything less than the shear power of open flame to sterilize your mycology utensils. This is a quality lamp at an affordable price I checked online and was not able to find a lower price for the same type of lamp.
